Method
How we check a TikTok account's engagement
Read on each of the latest videos, then compared with TikTok creators of the same size in Sup’s data.
We read the account’s latest videos that are at least a day old, up to 15, and leave out boosted ones unless most of them are boosted. On each video we work out the like rate, the comments per 100 likes and the shares and saves per 100 likes. Then we compare them with the range for creators with the same number of followers, from 56,364 TikTok videos by 20,551 creators that Sup tracks.
We also look for like counts that are almost the same on every video, and read the comments on the newest video to count how many are emoji only, a stock phrase or the same text repeated.

Reading the result
Signs of bought engagement
Views without likes
Videos with views far ahead of their likes. Bought views look like this, and so do boosted videos.
Likes without comments
Comments per like far below the range on most videos. Likes are cheap to buy and comments are not.
The same likes every time
Real videos swing a lot on TikTok. A like count that barely moves from video to video is a sign of a package.
No shares or saves
Hardly any shares and saves across many videos. Real audiences send and keep the videos they like.
To look at one video in detail, paste its link into the TikTok fake views checker. For the account’s normal numbers, use TikTok analytics.
FAQ
TikTok fake engagement questions
What is fake engagement on TikTok?
Views, likes and comments that did not come from people who chose to watch: bought packages, bots and engagement groups. It makes an account look more popular than its real audience, which matters most when you pay for a post.
What is a normal like rate on TikTok?
In Sup’s data a TikTok creator with 10k to 100k followers gets a median of 5.8 likes per 100 views, and 2.5 comments per 100 likes. The table on this page gives the range for every size of account.
Why do shares and saves matter?
Bought packages almost never add shares and saves, because nobody sells them in bulk the way they sell views and likes. An account whose videos get shared and saved has people who value the content.
Can the tool prove that engagement was bought?
No. Public numbers cannot show where a view or a like came from. Boosted videos (TikTok marks these as ads), giveaways and videos shared outside TikTok can all look unusual. The result says which numbers sit outside the normal range and never calls a creator fake.
Why are some videos marked in the grid?
A marked video sits in the bottom 5% of Sup’s data for accounts its size on likes per view or on comments per like. One marked video means little. Most of them marked is a pattern.
Is the TikTok fake engagement checker free?
Yes, with no sign-up. Each visitor can run 20 new checks an hour and 60 a day. Accounts checked in the last three days load from our cache.
